Sizing

Finding Your Size

Start with the bra size you usually wear. Your underbust measurement should be checked with a tape measure, but this will usually correspond with the band size you normally wear. Depending on your procedure, you may need to go up or down by one or two cup sizes. The Reco Bra® is designed to adapt as your swelling changes, helping you stay comfortable as your shape settles.

Choose the band and cup you normally wear. If you are between sizes, or expecting swelling after surgery, choose one to two sizes larger: the front fastenings bring it in as you settle.

A note about swelling

Your underbust measurement should be checked with a tape measure, but this will usually correspond with the band size you normally wear. Depending on your procedure, you may need to go up or down by one or two cup sizes. The two rows of fastenings let you start loose and come in as your swelling settles.

How the sizing works

No tape measure needed. The size you usually wear is enough to start from.

  1. Your usual size

Find the band and cup you normally wear on the chart above. Where they meet is your Reco Bra® size.

  2. Go up a size if unsure

Between sizes, expecting swelling, or buying for straight after surgery? Please go up a size.

  3. The fastenings do the fine tuning

Two rows of hook and eye fastenings, with a third row on XL, 2XL and 3XL for extra stability, plus four-way stretch mean each size covers a genuine range. Start on the loosest row and come in as you settle.

Between two sizes

You do not have to get this exactly right

Two rows of hook and eye down the front, plus four-way stretch, means each size covers a genuine range rather than a single measurement. If the finder puts you on a boundary, take the larger one: you can always fasten it on the tighter row.

Swollen right now

The fabric follows the swelling both ways

Swelling comes and goes in the early weeks, and everyone settles at her own pace. The knit expands while you are swollen and contracts as you settle, so one bra carries you through the change. If in doubt, go up a size.

Not the same on both sides

Size for the fuller side and work from that

After a single mastectomy, reconstruction on one side, or an uplift that has not settled, the two sides may not match. There are no moulded cups to fight, so choose the size that suits the fuller side. A soft breast form can go in on the other whenever you feel ready, and the unstructured knit holds one without gaping.
