INDICATIONS FOR USE

Reco Bra® is a post-surgical recovery bra medical device, which can be worn immediately following breast cancer, cosmetic breast and cardiothoracic surgical procedures. The garment can be worn 24 hours every day until the recommended six week period following surgery. Please follow your nurse or surgeons advice.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1) Firstly, insert one of your arms into the Reco Bra® and then pull it over your shoulder. You may find it easier to insert your unaffected side first (if applicable) then insert your other arm.

2) Then pull both sides of the bottom of the Reco Bra® together and insert the BOTTOM hook first onto the widest setting (second row) into the eye insert. Then work up from the bottom closing each hook and eye fastener until you reach the top towards your head. Resist pulling the bra down too low.

3) Scoop your breasts one at a time with the opposite hand (if applicable) making sure each breast is positioned correctly into the non-wired compression zone. This will give support directly underneath the breast area.

4) Finally, adjust the shoulder straps by sliding out the hook into the loop hole that gives you the desired support/uplift. This can also be unhooked and opened fully on one side to perform breast inspections or dressing changes. Reco Bra® is a front fastening bra and it is recommended you use the first row of hook and eyes, immediately following your surgery and move them onto the second row a few days later when your swelling starts to subside. This will be fitting dependant and you must make sure you are comfortable. The shoulder straps may also be used to adjust the amount of support

PRECAUTIONS

Please make sure the fitting guide is referred to above, before opening this product as this garment cannot be returned if signs of wear are shown (for hygiene reasons). Please make sure that any dressings/bandages/or drainage tubes are correctly placed to avoid any pressure points. Make sure you consult with your nurse, doctor or surgeon if you experience any wound irritation or discomfort and always follow the professional advice given at all times throughout your recovery.

HANDLING CARE

Close the hook and eye front fasters and make sure the shoulder straps are also closed before washing. Wash with similar colours in a wash bag. Do not use chlorine based bleach or chlorine based disinfection as this will destroy the anti-microbial coating and the durability/function.
